Sono un professore universitario di Paleontologia,studio i rettili fossili (ma non i dinosauri, mi dispiace).
A parte la Paleontologia, ho tanti altri interessi, come:
Fotografia, principalmente naturalistica, macro e street in bianco e nero.
Arti Marziali Tradizionali Cinesi, che ho iniziato a studiare e praticare più di quarant’anni fa, sono anche istruttore certificato di Taijiquan.
Sia nella Fotografia che nelle Arti Marziali, oltre al fare la passione mi porta ad approfondire anche gli aspetti storici e culturali, insomma tutto quello che c’è dietro, dentro e intorno.
Infine, ma dovrebbero essere al primo posto, i gatti.
Sono un Naturalista per formazione e professione, amo tutti gli animali, grandi e piccoli, ma i gatti …sono speciali.
Queste sono le cose di cui mi va di parlare, scrivere e condividere con gli altri.
I am a seasoned University Professor that teaches Palaeontology. My research interests are fossil reptiles (but not Dinosaurs, sorry).
Besides Paleontology, I have many other interests, like:
Photography, mainly wildlife photography, macro, and some street in black and white.
Chinese Traditional Martial Arts, which I started to study and practice more than forty years ago, and I am also a certified instructor of one.
In both cases (photography and martial arts), along with doing there is studying: to deepen my knowledge of historical and cultural aspects and anything related.
And then, but indeed they should be in the first place, there are the cats. I am a Naturalist, I love all animals, large and small, but cats… are special.
These are the subjects I love to talk and write about and share with others.
